5 days off, 2 days work?

Events always happened on weekends for obvious reasons ya. So does that mean we get 5 days off and 2 days work as an event decorator? hmmm..maybe...

Let's see what happen on Sunday when events are done...As the last guest left the venue and the host heaved a sigh of relief and gratitude that their event had successfully ended and went smoothly, the "war" begin. The dismantling war.

As we took down all the décor props and drapes, sieved out the dirty ones from the clean ones, stacked the chairs, tables, boxes upon boxes of décor stuff into our van, we head back to our warehouse.

More often than not, we would be exhausted after the unpacking. Exhausted but yet satisfied mind you. There's nothing more fulfilling than an event that went smoothly and with happy clients. So what do we do from Monday to Fri then. Well, its quite routine. First the laundry. The dirty, oil stained linens, sanitizing the cradle and mattresses, packing of props for the coming weekend, loading up our van for the next set up. How long does all these take? From Monday to Friday basically haha. Oh and in between, we will meet clients, designing our coming set ups etc.

Not really the heavenly 5 days off and 2 days work eh. But its what we do and what we love to do. Its not all work. We do on occasion let off steam by doing our favorite R&R activity - Bouncing at trampoline parks and Karaoke-ing. Nothing beats letting off steam that jumping and screaming hahaha.

What do you do as a stress reliever. We'd love to explore new ideas for these. Share in the comment below :)
